How to use the birthday countdown
Type a name if you like, pick the birth date and press Add birthday. The big boxes count down the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the start of the next birthday, midnight on your device's clock. Below them you see the age that birthday brings, the day of the week it falls on, the days until birthday on the calendar and in weeks, and the age today in years, months and days.
Add as many people as you like, up to 30. The list is sorted with the next birthday first, and the countdown shows the soonest one until you press Show on another. Change a name or date in the list at any time. On the day itself the countdown turns green and wishes a happy birthday.
For any other date, a trip or an exam, use the days until calculator; for the holidays there is a Christmas countdown.
How the days and the age are counted
The countdown runs to midnight at the start of the birthday, in your own time zone. The calendar count leaves today out, so a birthday tomorrow is 1 day away. The age shown is the age turned on that next birthday: someone born on March 3, 2000 turns 27 on March 3, 2027.
People born on February 29 have that date only in leap years. Some celebrate on February 28 in other years and some on March 1, and the rule for legal purposes differs between countries, so it is a setting: the countdown uses February 28 unless you choose March 1.
Print sign prints the days to go in huge type for a door or a fridge. Print cross-off sheet prints one numbered square per day left, to cross off each morning, which children like.

Questions
How many days until my birthday?
Enter your birth date and the page shows it at once, both as a live countdown and as whole calendar days. Today is not counted, so if your birthday is tomorrow it says 1 day.
How old will I be on my next birthday?
The line under the countdown says it, for example Turns 36 on Friday, October 1, 2027. It also shows your age today in years, months and days.
Is my birth date stored anywhere?
Only in your browser on this device. Nothing is sent to a server. Share link puts the names and dates in the link itself, so only send it to people you trust with them.
What if the birthday is today?
The countdown shows zero, turns green and says happy birthday. From tomorrow it counts to the birthday a year later.
