Tap once at the end of every row. The counter keeps your place in the pattern repeat and saves each project as you go.

How to use the row counter

Finish a row, then tap the big number (or press Space). Made an extra tap? Use − or Undo. Reset takes the rows back to 0 and can be undone from the message that appears.

Each project keeps its own count, settings and notes. Pick a project from the list, type in the name box to rename it, press + New for another one and Delete to remove the current one (the message lets you undo it). Everything is saved in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere.

Counting stitches within a row rather than whole rows? Use the stitch counter.

Share link copies a link to the current project: its name, count, repeat, target and second counter. Opening it adds a new project and leaves the others alone. Chart: rows per day shows how many rows you added each day. Print sheet prints a project card and a numbered grid for rows 1 to 60 to tick off on paper.

Pattern repeats, targets and a second counter

Many patterns say something like "repeat rows 1 to 8". Open Settings for this project and enter 8 under Pattern repeat. The counter then shows where you are inside the repeat, for example Row 3 of 8 in repeat, repeat 5, and plays a short tune and vibrates when a repeat is complete.

Enter a Total rows target (for example the length of a scarf) to get a progress bar and a tune when you reach it. Tick Show a second counter for a count that runs on its own, such as the rows of a second sleeve, decreases worked, or cable crossings. Use the notes box for the pattern name, needle or hook size and anything else you want to find again.

Keyboard shortcuts

Holding a key down adds one row only, so a key pressed by accident cannot run away with the count.

Questions

Should I tap at the start or at the end of a row?

Either works as long as you always do the same. Tapping when you finish a row is the most common habit: the number then shows how many rows are done, and the repeat line shows the row of the repeat you just finished.

Can I keep several projects at once?

Yes, up to 30. Each one keeps its own row count, pattern repeat, target, second counter and notes, and switching between them never changes the others.

Is my count safe if I close the page?

Yes. Every tap is saved in your browser straight away, so closing the tab, refreshing or turning off the phone keeps your place. Nothing is stored on a server, so clearing your browser data removes it.

Does it work for crochet as well as knitting?

Yes. The counter only counts rows (or rounds), so it works the same for knitting, crochet, loom knitting or any craft worked row by row.

I need to count stitches, not rows. Is there a tool for that?

Yes, the stitch counter counts the stitches inside each row, with a stitches-per-row target, a list of finished rows and an increase and decrease tally.
