How to use the canasta score sheet
Name the two partnerships (or pick 2 or 3 players in Settings). When a hand ends, fill in each side's card: the number of natural and mixed canastas, the red threes it laid down, the points of all the cards it melded, and the points of the cards still in its hands. Tap Went out on the side that went out, and tick Concealed if it went out in one go without melding before. Each card shows what the hand is worth as you type, with the parts spelled out.
Press Score this hand. The hand goes into the table, the totals move up, and every side sees the minimum count it needs for its first meld in the next hand. When a side reaches 5,000 the sheet names the winner. Undo steps back through every change.
Counting a big pile of cards is easier with the Card points helper under the tool: tap each card and send the total to the right field. Print blank sheet gives you a paper canasta score sheet with the values printed on it, and Print sheet prints the game so far. Share link copies the game into a link, and the chart draws both totals hand by hand. For rummy there is a separate rummy score keeper, and any other game fits the plain score keeper.
Canasta scoring on this sheet
The sheet follows classic canasta scoring. House rules vary, and other canasta variants score differently, so the choices that differ are settings.
- Natural canasta (no wild cards): 500. Mixed canasta: 300.
- Red threes: 100 each, or 800 when one side has all four. A side that has made no meld when the hand ends loses those points instead.
- Going out: 100, or 200 for going out concealed (a setting, on by default).
- Card values: joker 50, deuce and ace 20, K Q J 10 9 8 are 10, 7 6 5 4 are 5, black three 5. Melded cards count for the side, cards left in hand count against it.
- First meld minimum from the side's score: below 0 needs 15, 0 to 1,495 needs 50, 1,500 to 2,995 needs 90, 3,000 or more needs 120.
- Game: the first side to reach 5,000 at the end of a hand; the higher total wins. The target is a setting.

Questions
What goes in melded card points?
The point value of every card the side put on the table during the hand, including the cards inside its canastas. The canasta bonus itself goes in the canasta counters, so it is not counted twice.
Why is a red three counted as minus?
In classic canasta, red threes only score for a side that has melded. If the hand ends before that side has made any meld, the sheet subtracts them, and the side card warns you as you enter them.
Can I use it for 2 or 3 players?
Yes. Pick 2 players or 3 players in Settings. Scoring stays the same; each player has a card of their own.
How do I fix a hand I scored wrong?
Press Undo (or U) to take the hand back off the sheet, correct the numbers, and score it again. Your game is kept in this browser only, so a refresh does not lose it.
