How to use the darts scoreboard
Open Settings to pick the game (501 by default, or 301, 701 or a custom start), the number of players from 1 to 8 and how many legs win the match. Type each name on its card. The card with the black outline is the player to throw, and its big number is the score still needed.
With Turn total, type what the three darts scored on the number pad and press OK, or tap a quick score such as 60, 100, 140 or 180. No score enters 0. With Dart by dart, choose Single, Double or Treble and then the number, or tap 25, Bull or Miss. The turn ends by itself after the third dart, a bust or a checkout. When a typed total wins a leg, the scorer asks how many darts the checkout took, so the averages stay right.
It is a darts calculator as well as a darts scorer: it does the subtraction, and whenever the player to throw can finish it shows a route on their card, such as T20 T20 Bull for 170, for the darts left in the turn. To look up any finish, open the darts checkout calculator. For games that do not count down, the score keeper adds up points round by round.
Rules this 501 darts scorer follows
- Counting down: everyone starts on the same score and each turn's total is taken off. The first player to reach exactly 0 wins the leg.
- Double out (on by default): the last dart must land in a double or the bull. The bull counts as 50 and as a double; the outer bull is a single 25.
- Bust: a turn that would take the player below 0, leave exactly 1, or reach 0 without a double scores nothing, and the player goes back to the score they had before the turn.
- Straight out (setting): any dart can finish, so only going below 0 is a bust.
- Double in (setting, off by default): a player's score starts counting only from their first double. In turn-total mode, enter just the points from that double on.
- Legs and sets: the first to the chosen number of legs wins. With sets on, legs win a set and the first to the chosen number of sets wins the match. The first throw moves to the next player every leg.
Three darts score at most 180, and a few totals below that (163, 166, 169, 172, 173, 175, 176, 178 and 179) cannot be made with three darts, so the pad refuses them. Match length and double in vary from one league or pub to the next, which is why they are settings.
Statistics
The table under the pad shows each player's 3-dart average (points scored divided by darts thrown, times three), darts thrown, highest turn, number of 180s, best checkout and legs won, over the whole match. Here a bust counts its darts and scores nothing, and a checkout counts only the darts it took.

Showing the scores on a TV
Open display window opens a second window with only the remaining scores, whose turn it is and the suggested checkout, in big type on black. Drag it to a TV or projector on the same computer, press Full screen in it, and keep scoring here. Chart draws each player's remaining score turn by turn, Share link copies the players, settings and scores, and Print blank sheet gives a paper scoresheet for the game you have set.
Questions
What counts as a bust in darts?
Going below zero, or with double out, leaving exactly 1 or reaching zero on a dart that is not a double or the bull. The whole turn then scores nothing and the score goes back to where it was before the turn. The scorer applies this for you in both entry modes.
Can I score 301 or 701 instead of 501?
Yes. Pick 301 or 701 under Game in Settings, or Custom for any start from 2 to 2001. Changing the game during a match starts a new game, and Undo brings the old one back.
Does it keep score for one player practicing?
Yes. Set Players to 1 and every turn is yours; the average, 180s and best checkout still add up, which makes it a simple practice log.
Is the game saved if I close the page?
Yes. Every turn is saved in this browser straight away and comes back when you reopen the page. Nothing is sent to a server. Download CSV saves every turn to a file.
Who throws first in the next leg?
The first throw moves one player along each leg: in a two-player game the players take turns to start. The card of the player who started the current leg says so.
