How to use the time zone converter
Your city is at the top, found from your device's time zone; press the house button on any other row to make it your city. Type a city or a time zone name (Tokyo, Paris, EST, PST, IST) in the box and press Add; you can keep up to 12. The converter starts on the live time. Change the date or time at the top, use −1 h and +1 h, or tap any hour on a strip, and every row follows. Live now goes back to the current time.
Each row shows the local time, the date (with "next day" or "day before" when it differs from yours), the zone name, its offset from UTC and the difference from your city. The hour strip under each city lines up with your day: green hours are working hours, grey hours are night, so the hours that suit everyone line up in one column. Copy times copies a short list, one line per city, ready to paste into an email or a calendar invite.

Summer and winter time are automatic
You never have to update anything for daylight saving time. The converter asks your browser for each city's offset on the exact date you pick, using the time zone database built into every browser and phone, which is updated when countries change their rules. So a time in July and the same time in December can give different answers, and both are right.
Each row also says whether the city is on summer time now, and when its clocks next change, for example "Clocks go back 1 h on Sun, Nov 1, 2026". If you pick a time that does not exist because the clocks jump forward that night, the converter tells you.

Questions
If it is 6 pm in Bangkok, what time is it in Los Angeles?
It depends on the date. From mid-March to early November, when Los Angeles is on summer time (PDT), 6 pm in Bangkok is 4 am the same day in Los Angeles. In winter (PST) it is 3 am. Bangkok does not change its clocks. Set the date at the top to see the exact answer for your day.
Is EST the same as Eastern Time?
Not all year. EST is Eastern Standard Time, UTC-5, used in winter. In summer New York and the rest of the eastern US use EDT, UTC-4. Eastern Time (ET) means whichever of the two is in use, and that is what the converter shows when you add EST or New York.
Why is the time difference different from last month?
Because one of the cities changed its clocks. The difference between London and New York, for example, is usually 5 hours, but for a few weeks in March and in October or November it is 4, because the US and Europe change their clocks on different dates.
Can I send the times to someone?
Yes. Copy times gives a plain list to paste anywhere, and Share link makes a link that opens the same cities at the same time.
Which cities can I add?
Several hundred major cities, common time zone names such as EST, PST, CET, IST and JST, and every other time zone your browser knows, listed by its main city. If a small town is missing, pick the nearest big city in the same time zone.
