How to use the soccer scoreboard
Press +1 Goal under the team that scored, or tap its big number. Yellow and Red keep a card count for each side. Start sets the match clock running from 0:00. At half time press Next: the second half starts at 45:00 and runs on toward 90:00, the way stadium clocks read.
When the fourth official shows the added time, set it with the Added time minus and plus buttons. Once the clock passes the end of the half it shows the extra time separately, for example 45:00+1:30, and keeps running until you press Pause. Two short beeps mark the moment the half length is reached.
For a cup match, Next after the second half starts extra time, and Penalty shootout opens a kick-by-kick tally. Open display window shows the score, clock, added time and cards on a second screen. Also on this site: the football scoreboard for the American game and the hockey scoreboard.
Match length, extra time and the shootout
An adult match is two halves of 45 minutes. Youth games are shorter and the length depends on the age group and league, so set yours under Half length in Settings. Extra time, when a competition uses it, is two periods of up to 15 minutes each, which is the default here.
In a penalty shootout the teams take kicks in turn, five each to start. If one team can no longer be caught, the shootout ends early. If they are level after five each, they go on one kick each until one team scores and the other misses. The board works this out and names the winner. Shootout goals are not added to the match score: they show beside it, as in 1 to 1, 4 to 3 on penalties. If your competition uses a different number of kicks before sudden death, change it in Settings.

Questions
Does the clock stop for injuries or substitutions?
No, the same as a real soccer clock. Time lost is made up with added time at the end of each half. Pause the clock only when the half ends or if you want to stop it for your own reasons.
Can I count down instead of up?
Yes. Choose Count down each half under Clock in Settings. The clock then runs from the half length to zero and the horn sounds at zero.
Do penalty shootout goals change the score?
No. The shootout tally sits in its own panel and on the display beside the match score, which stays as it was at the end of play.
How do I fix a card given to the wrong team?
Press Undo or U. It steps back through goals, cards, added time, halves and shootout kicks one at a time.
