How to use the pickleball scoreboard
Enter the names (the board starts in doubles), press Serves first under the side that serves first, then tap the side that won each rally. You do not have to work out whether a point counts: when the receiving side wins a rally, the board moves the serve to the second server or to the other side instead of adding a point. The line under the scores reads the call out, for example 4-2-1, and the Serving tag shows the server number.
Undo steps back one rally at a time. The pickleball score tracker also has a display window for a screen by the court, a chart of rallies won, share links, a printed sheet (filled or blank, with point boxes to cross off) and a summary when the match ends.
For 15, 30, 40 scoring, open the tennis scoreboard or the padel scoreboard.
Side-out scoring, server numbers and the call
With traditional side-out scoring only the serving side can score. In doubles, both players on a side serve before the serve passes over, except at the start of each game: the side that serves first gets just one server, which is why the first call is 0-0-2. When the serving side loses a rally with server 1, the partner serves as server 2. When server 2 loses a rally, it is a side out and the other side serves with server 1.
The call is the serving side's score, the receiving side's score, then the server number. In singles there is one server per side, every lost serve is a side out, and the call has two numbers.
Games go to 11 and must be won by 2; 15 and 21 are in Settings, along with a best of 3 match. Some events use rally scoring, where every rally wins a point. That option is in Settings too: the board then gives the serve to the side that won the rally and drops server numbers. Rally scoring details vary between events, so check yours. Before the first rally of each game you can choose who serves with Serves first.
Keyboard shortcuts
- A or ←: rally to the left side

Holding a key counts one rally, never more.
Questions
Why does the game start at 0-0-2?
The side that serves first in a doubles game has only one server for that first turn. Calling it server 2 means the next lost rally is a side out.
What happens when the receiving side wins a rally?
No point is scored. The serve passes to server 2, or on a side out to the other side. Just tap the side that won and the board works it out.
Which player is server 1?
The board shows the server number, not a name, because who serves first depends on where the players stand when their side gets the serve.
Can I keep score for singles?
Yes. Pick Singles in Settings. The call then has two numbers and every lost serve is a side out.
