How to use the hearts score sheet
Four players are set up to start; add or remove players for 3 to 6. At the end of each hand, use the plus and minus buttons on each player's card to enter how many hearts they took, then tap Queen of spades on the player who took her. The line above the button checks that all 13 hearts are counted and, with four players, tells you which way to pass next hand: left, right, across, then no pass.
Press Score this hand. If one player took every heart and the queen, the sheet sees that they shot the moon and scores it for you. Undo takes back a mistake, Print blank sheet gives you a paper hearts score sheet, and the chart draws everyone's total climbing toward 100. For a bidding game with the same four players, try the spades score sheet.
Hearts scoring and shooting the moon
- Each heart you take counts 1 point against you.
- The queen of spades counts 13.
- That makes 26 points in every hand.
- Shooting the moon: take all 13 hearts and the queen, and instead of 26 points for you, every other player gets 26. Some people play that the shooter takes 26 off their own score instead; pick that in Settings.
- The game ends when someone reaches 100 at the end of a hand, and the lowest total wins.
A common house rule makes the jack of diamonds a bonus card worth minus 10 for whoever takes it. Turn it on in Settings and a Jack of diamonds button appears on each card. The end score of 100 can be changed too.

Questions
How do you score shooting the moon in hearts?
A player who takes all 13 hearts and the queen of spades has shot the moon. With the usual rule each other player gets 26 points and the shooter gets none. The sheet notices it from the numbers you enter, so you do not need to work it out.
Why does the sheet say the hearts do not add up?
There are 13 hearts in a deck, so the hearts entered for all players together must be 13 before the hand can be scored. Check who took the last few tricks.
Who wins at hearts?
When any player reaches 100 points at the end of a hand, the game is over and the player with the lowest score wins. Ties share the win.
Can I play hearts with 3 or 5 players?
Yes. Add or remove players with the buttons on the sheet; it works for 3 to 6. The scoring stays the same, and the passing reminder only shows for four players.
