How to use the oh hell score sheet
Add players until everyone is on the sheet (3 to 7) and pick the first dealer in Settings. The line above the button shows the hand number, how many cards each player gets and who deals. Pick each player's bid as they make it. When all the other bids are in, the sheet names the one number the dealer may not bid.
After the last trick, pick how many tricks each player won and press Score this hand. The next hand size and the next dealer appear straight away. The badge on each card marks the dealer, and the table keeps every bid and result as bid/won. Print blank sheet makes a paper oh hell score sheet with the number of cards printed on every row, which is handy when the phone is not at the table.
Oh hell scoring and hand sizes
- Default scoring: a player who wins exactly the number of tricks they bid scores 10 plus the bid (10 for a bid of zero made, 13 for three). Anyone who wins more or fewer scores nothing.
- A common alternative, picked in Settings: 1 point for every trick won, plus 10 for making the bid exactly.
- Hook rule: the dealer bids last and may not make the bids add up to the number of cards dealt, so at least one player must miss. You can turn it off.
- Hand sizes: with 3 to 5 players the first hand has 10 cards, with 6 players 8, with 7 players 7. Each hand has one card fewer down to 1, then one more back up. Settings also offer up then down, or one way only, and a different top number.
The player with the highest total after the last hand wins. Scoring for oh hell varies more than for most games, so check your group's rules before you start. For a partnership bidding game, see the spades score sheet.

Questions
What is the hook rule in oh hell?
The dealer bids last and is not allowed to bid the number that would make all the bids add up to the cards in each hand. That way somebody always misses. The sheet shows the forbidden number once the other bids are in and will not score a hand that breaks the rule while it is on.
How many hands are in a game of oh hell?
With the default setup, 19 hands for 3 to 5 players (10 down to 1 and back up to 10), 15 for six players and 13 for seven. The target box at the top shows the count for your setup.
Is this the same game as oh heck or blackout?
Oh hell is played under several names, and the bidding idea is the same. The exact scoring differs between groups, so pick the scoring method that matches your table in Settings.
What happens if I make a mistake in a bid?
Change the pick before you score. If the hand is already scored, press Undo, fix it and score again.
