How to use the football scoreboard
Every scoring play has its own button under each team: TD adds 6, XP (the kick after a touchdown) adds 1, 2PT (a two-point conversion) adds 2, FG adds 3 and Safety adds 2. −1 fixes a score by one point. Timeout takes one of the team's timeouts and stops the clock.
Above the teams, Start runs the quarter clock down and the horn sounds at 0:00. Next goes to the next quarter and, after the fourth, to overtime. The Ball button shows which team has possession: tap it when the ball changes hands. The down and distance box shows, for example, 2nd & 7: tap it for the next down, press 1st & 10 after a first down, and type the yards in To go and the yard line in Ball on. A 0 in To go shows as Goal.
Open display window shows the score, clock, quarter, timeouts, possession and down and distance on a second screen. For other games, see the soccer scoreboard or the rugby scoreboard.
Scoring, quarters and timeouts
The point values are the standard ones: touchdown 6, extra point 1, two-point conversion 2, field goal 3, safety 2. Quarters start at 15 minutes, the length in the NFL and in college football. High school games use 12 minute quarters and youth leagues are often shorter, so set your quarter length in Settings.
Each team gets 3 timeouts per half by default. The board gives both teams their full timeouts back when the third quarter starts. Overtime rules differ a lot between levels, so the overtime period length is a setting and timeouts are not refilled for it: use Refill timeouts in Settings if your rules give new ones.

- 1 to 5: the left team's TD, XP, 2PT, FG and Safety buttons; 6 to 0: the right team's
- A or L: one point to the left or right team (Shift takes it off)
- Space: start or stop the clock; P: next quarter
- D: next down; N: 1st & 10; B: switch possession
- S: swap sides; U: undo; F: full screen; M: sound
Questions
Does the clock stop on incomplete passes?
Only when you stop it. Press Space or Pause whenever the clock should stop under your rules, and again when play restarts. A timeout stops it for you.
Can I use it for a high school game?
Yes. Set Quarter length to 12 in Settings. The timeouts per half, overtime length and clock direction are settings too.
What happens after 4th down?
Tapping the down box after 4th goes back to 1st & 10. Switch possession with the Ball button or B if the other team takes over.
Can I fix a wrong score?
Press Undo to take back the last play, or use −1 for a small correction. Undo also covers timeouts, downs and quarters.
