How to use the rugby scoreboard
Under each team there is a button for each way to score: Try, Conv (conversion), Penalty (penalty goal) and Drop (drop goal). Each one shows the points it adds. The team's try count is kept next to its name. −1 and a tap on the big number move the score by a single point when you need to correct it.
Start runs the match clock up from 0:00. At half time press Next: the second half picks up at 40:00 and heads for 80:00. When the half length is reached you hear two beeps and the clock keeps going until the ball is dead and you press Pause. Open display window sends the score, tries and clock to a TV or projector plugged into the same computer.

Rugby union or rugby league scoring
The board starts with rugby union scoring: a try is 5 points, a conversion 2, a penalty goal 3 and a drop goal 3. Rugby league scores differently: a try is 4, a conversion 2, a penalty goal 2 and a drop goal 1. Pick the code under Scoring in Settings and the buttons change at once. Points already on the board stay as they are.
Senior matches in both codes are two halves of 40 minutes. Junior, school and sevens games are shorter, so set your half length in Settings, and switch the clock to count down if you prefer. Extra time, where a competition plays it, has its own period length setting.

- 1 try, 2 conversion, 3 penalty goal, 4 drop goal for the left team
- 6 to 9: the same four for the right team
- A / L: one point left or right, with Shift to take one away
- Space: start or pause; P: second half; S: change ends; U: undo; F: full screen; M: sound
Questions
Can I switch between union and league mid-game?
Yes. The change only affects the points added from then on. The score already on the board is not recalculated.
How do I count a missed conversion?
Do nothing: only scores go on the board. Press Undo if you tapped Conv by mistake, and the points come off again.
Does it track tries for bonus points?
It counts tries for each team next to the team name. Bonus point rules depend on the competition, so the board does not award them; use the try count to work them out.
Can I download the match?
Download CSV lists every score with the time, half, team, type (try, conversion and so on) and the score after it, plus the try totals.
