How to use the roller derby scoreboard
Press Start jam on the whistle. The jam clock counts down from 2:00 and the period clock starts too if it was stopped. As the jammers score, press +1 to +4 under their team, or tap the big number for a single point. The team score and the points for this jam go up together. Press Lead under the team whose jammer earns lead jammer status; press it again to take it off.
When the jam is called off, press End jam. Four short whistles sound and the lineup countdown starts, 30 seconds by default. If nobody ends the jam, it ends by itself when the jam clock reaches zero. The next Start jam resets the jam points and the lead jammer mark and adds one to the jam number.
Timeout under a team uses one of its timeouts and stops the period clock and the jam clock. For an official timeout, pause the period clock with Pause. Next moves on to the second period and starts the jam count again. Open display window shows both clocks, the jam number, the score and the lead jammer on a projector.
Clocks and settings
The clocks start with the usual WFTDA timings: two periods of 30 minutes, jams of up to 2 minutes and 30 seconds of lineup between jams. Tournaments, junior leagues and scrimmages often change them, so each one is a setting: Period length in minutes, Jam length and Lineup between jams in seconds. The number of timeouts per team starts at 3 and is a setting too.
The period clock and the jam clock are separate. The period clock keeps running through the lineup, and when it runs out during a jam, the jam on the track plays on as the last jam of the period. Everything is worked out from time stamps saved in your browser, so a refresh or a sleeping laptop does not lose a second.
Need a clock with no score at all? The lap counter times laps, and the team scoreboard keeps points for more than two teams.

Questions
Can I undo a jam I started by mistake?
Yes. Undo right after Start jam puts the jam clock, the jam number and the period clock back as they were. Undo also reverses points, lead jammer marks and timeouts.
Does the jam clock keep going if I switch tabs?
Yes. Both clocks run from saved start times, not from a counter, so they stay right in a background tab or after a refresh. A jam that ran out while the page was closed is ended for you.
Is this an official scoreboard?
No. It is a free, unofficial scoreboard for bouts, scrimmages and practice. It does not keep penalties or a full statsbook, and it is not affiliated with any derby association.
Can the crowd see the jam clock?
Press Open display window and drag the window to a TV or projector. It shows the period clock, the jam or lineup clock, the jam number, the score and the lead jammer.
