How to use the handball scoreboard
Tap a team's big number, or press +1 Goal, for every goal. Start runs the game clock up from 0:00. At the break press Next, and the second half runs on from 30:00 to 60:00. When the half is up you hear two beeps, and the clock keeps going until you press Pause.
When a player is suspended, press 2 min under that team. A timer chip counts down with the game clock, so it stops whenever you stop the clock, and it carries over into the second half. When it runs out it beeps and disappears, and the player can come back on. Several suspensions can run at the same time. The 2 min number next to the team name counts all suspensions in the game.
Open display window puts the score, clock and running suspensions on a second screen. For other indoor games, try the basketball scoreboard or the volleyball scoreboard.
Game length and suspensions
Senior handball is two halves of 30 minutes. Youth games use shorter halves, and the length depends on the age group, so change it under Half length in Settings. The clock counts up through the match by default; choose count down if your hall's clock runs that way. Extra time, where it is played, has its own length setting (5 minutes to start).
A suspension timer only removes itself when it reaches zero. Tap a chip to clear it by hand, for example if it was started by mistake; Undo puts it back.
Keyboard shortcuts
- A or ← / L or →: goal to the left or right team, Shift removes one
- 1: goal left, 2: 2 minute suspension left; 6 and 7: the same on the right
- Space: clock on or off; P: next half; S: swap; U: undo; F: full screen; M: sound
Questions
Do the 2 minute timers stop when the clock stops?
Yes. They run only while the game clock runs, so a timeout or any stop in play freezes them too.
Can I show the suspensions on a big screen?
Yes. The display window shows each running suspension under the team, counting down live beside the game clock.
How many suspensions can run at once?
Up to 8 per team, each with its own timer.
Will a refresh lose the timers?
No. The score, clock and every suspension are saved in your browser after each change and pick up where they were.
